IBM Introducing z/OS UNIX System Services

This course describes how open standards are implemented in z/OS by z/OS UNIX. UNIX system services are presented and the role of z/OS as a server in an open systems environment is discussed. This is an introductory course. It provides an overview of z/OS UNIX system services (commonly abbreviated as z/OS UNIX) as seen by the user. Installation and implementation details for system programmers are not covered in this course.

Required Participant Preparation

You should have basic knowledge of the z/OS system, equivalent to the Introduction to the z/OS Environment (ES050) course.
