- Business Continuity Management System (BCMS) — concepts, PDCA cycle, implementation scope
- Organizational context — environment analysis, interested parties, legal and regulatory requirements
- Leadership and management commitment — business continuity policy, roles, responsibilities, resources
- BCMS planning — continuity objectives, risk criteria, action planning, integration with business processes
- Exercises: organizational context analysis, identification of interested parties and requirements
Day 2: Business Impact Analysis and Risk Assessment
- Business Impact Analysis (BIA) — identification of critical processes, RTO, RPO, MTPD, dependencies
- Business continuity risk assessment — threat identification, vulnerability analysis, disruption scenarios
- Business continuity strategies — options (relocation, redundancy, outsourcing), cost-benefit analysis
- Resource recovery strategies — people, technology, information, suppliers, infrastructure
- Resource requirements — budget, competencies, technologies, partners, SLA agreements
- Exercises: conducting BIA, determining RTO/RPO, developing continuity strategies
Day 3: Implementing Business Continuity Plans
- Business Continuity Plans (BCP) — structure, activation procedures, roles, communication, escalation
- Disaster Recovery Plans (DRP) — IT recovery procedures, backup, failover, data restoration
- Incident and crisis management — response structure, command center, decision-making
- Crisis communication — communication plan, media, employees, customers, regulatory authorities
- Awareness and training — program for building a business continuity culture, team competencies
- Exercises: developing a BCP plan and incident response procedures
Day 4: Testing, Monitoring, and Continuous Improvement
- Tests and exercises — types (tabletop, walkthrough, functional, full-scale), planning, and evaluation
- Monitoring and measurement — business continuity KPIs, internal audits, management review
- Continuous improvement — nonconformities, corrective actions, lessons learned, plan updates
- BCMS documentation management — policies, procedures, records, document control

Day 5: PECB Exam Preparation
