ITIL® 5 Foundation Bridge — upgrade from ITIL 4 (training with exam)

ITIL® Foundation Bridge (Version 5) training with exam — fast-track upgrade from ITIL 4 to ITIL 5. Focus on what's new in Version 5.

Fast track from ITIL 4 to ITIL 5

Already hold an ITIL 4 Foundation certificate and want to move to ITIL 5? The Bridge training is the fastest path — 1 day instead of 2, focused exclusively on Version 5 changes, shorter exam (20 questions instead of 40).

After passing the Bridge exam you receive the full ITIL Foundation (Version 5) certificate — identical to the one awarded after the full exam. No difference in the credential.

What’s new in ITIL 5?

ITIL 5 expands the framework scope from IT Service Management to Digital Product & Service Management. Key changes:

  • Product & Service Lifecycle Model (PSLM) — a new 8-phase, iterative lifecycle model (Discover → Design → Develop → Deploy → Deliver → Support → Optimize → Retire)
  • AI governance and ethics — AI risk management, transparency and accountability built into the framework
  • Experience management — Customer Experience (CX), User Experience (UX) and Digital Experience (DX) as a central element, not an add-on
  • Experience Level Agreements — a new concept extending traditional SLAs with an experience dimension

What hasn’t changed: 7 guiding principles, Service Value System, 4 dimensions of management and 34 practices — these were retained from ITIL 4 with minor updates.

Bridge exam — format

  • 20 multiple-choice questions (vs 40 in the full exam)
  • 30 minutes (vs 60 in the full exam)
  • 65% pass mark (minimum 13/20)
  • Closed book, English language
  • Online with PeopleCert proctor

Who is the Bridge for?

The Bridge is exclusively for holders of a valid ITIL 4 Foundation certificate. If you do not hold an ITIL 4 certificate, choose the full ITIL 5 Foundation training.

What sets our approach apart?

The Bridge training at EITT is not a dry presentation of changes. Our trainers — practitioners with hands-on ITIL implementation experience — show how Version 5 updates impact the day-to-day work of IT Service Managers and Digital Product Managers.

The program includes practical workshops on PSLM mapping and AI governance, not just exam theory.
