V7000 with VIOS and IBM i

The workshop aims to provide skills for implementing V7000 with VIOS and IBM i, configuring full IBM i system business continuity solutions with V7000 copy services, and implementing PowerHA SystemMirror for i with V7000. You also test disaster recovery and FlashCopy scenarios for offline saves in full system or PowerHA environment. The workshop is designed as hands-on: you work in two groups and build a complete environment, starting from VIOS installation, V7000 configuration, through VIOS mapping and IBM i installation, then V7000 copy services configuration, IBM i LPAR cloning, full system DR scenarios, to cluster and IASP configuration, PowerHA installation and IASP switchover testing in disaster recovery solutions.

Required Participant Preparation

Candidate should have basic skills in IBM i system installation and management and basic knowledge of V7000 storage system and VIOS.
