Day 1: Introduction to ISO 9001 and QMS fundamentals

  • Introduction to ISO 9001 — objectives, scope, structure, 7 quality management principles, HLS (High Level Structure)
  • Quality Management System (QMS) — concepts, PDCA cycle, process approach, risk-based thinking
  • Organizational context — environmental analysis, interested parties, QMS scope, processes and their interactions
  • Leadership and commitment — quality policy, quality objectives, roles and responsibilities, QMS representative
  • QMS planning — risks and opportunities, quality objectives (SMART), planning of changes, resources
  • Exercises: organizational context analysis, process identification and interactions, risk and opportunity matrix

Day 2: Support and operations

  • Resource management — people, infrastructure, process environment, monitoring and measurement resources, organizational knowledge
  • Competence and awareness — defining competencies, training, effectiveness evaluation, quality policy awareness
  • QMS documentation — documented information, creation, updating, control, eliminating unnecessary documentation
  • Operational planning and control — process planning, criteria, change control, outsourced processes
  • Product and service requirements — customer communication, requirements review, design and development
  • Exercises: developing a process map, QMS documentation, defining process criteria

Day 3: Operations, performance evaluation and improvement

  • Control of outsourced processes — supplier selection criteria, evaluation, monitoring, communication
  • Production and service delivery — controlled conditions, identification and traceability, customer property
  • Control of nonconforming outputs — identification, isolation, actions, customer notification
  • Monitoring and measurement — process KPIs, customer satisfaction, data analysis, trends

Day 4: Continuous improvement and certification preparation

Day 5: Preparation for the PECB exam

  • Case studies — analysis of QMS implementations in manufacturing, services and public sector
  • PECB certification preparation — exam format, question types, passing strategies
  • Mock exam — simulation of the PECB Certified ISO 9001 Lead Implementer exam
  • PECB certification exam (optional) — written exam leading to the PECB Certified ISO 9001 Lead Implementer certificate
